You know I’m not in the business of half-hearted care. I go all in—whether that’s birth support, women's health, traveling, or now… your jaw.
Yep. I recently completed training with *From the Neck Up* to offer **intraoral massage**—a powerful, highly specialized technique that supports jaw tension, TMJ issues, trauma release, and even birth prep.
Before you raise an eyebrow, let me explain.
What the heck *is* intraoral massage?
Intra oral massage is a gentle but deeply effective form of bodywork where the practitioner (hi, me) works inside the mouth —with gloves, of course—to release tension in the muscles of the jaw, face, and head.
It’s not your average spa massage. It’s next-level nervous system support. It’s the missing link for so many people dealing with:
Chronic jaw tension or TMJ dysfunction
Headaches and migraines
Clenching or grinding (especially at night)
Neck and shoulder pain that just won't quit
Postpartum tension from the hormonal rollercoaster
Emotional holding patterns or unresolved trauma
And yes—even birthing folks needing pelvic and jaw alignment (they’re deeply connected, by the way)
Why I got trained:
Because I kept seeing a pattern: People walking around holding SO much in their jaws. Stress. Exhaustion. Grief. Rage. Unspoken words. Unprocessed birth experiences. Even connections to tension in labour, and therefore struggling with progress.
And when the jaw holds tight, the body doesn’t feel safe to soften.
As someone who works with bodies, birth, and burnout—I knew I needed another tool in my hands. A way to offer release where talking stops and tension lives.
What a session looks like:
Expect a calm, safe space. I’ll work externally on the face, neck, and head to begin, then—with your full consent—work intraorally to gently release tension from the inside out.
It’s weirdly wonderful. Often emotional. Always deeply healing.
This is slow medicine. Not a quick fix. But if you’re ready to unwind the knots you didn’t even know you were carrying—it might be exactly what your body’s been asking for.
Who it’s for:
* Folks dealing with TMJ or chronic facial tension
* New moms holding stress and tension in their bodies
* Birth workers and caregivers who need a reset
* Anyone moving through a transition and craving nervous system support
* You—if you’ve read this far and felt that “oof, I need this” nudge
Ready to try it?
I’m now offering intra oral massage sessions locally at my home practice in Dorchester. You can book a standalone session or add it to your postpartum, birth, or wellness support plan.
